The arrival of fall means that Lincoln’s annual conference will be starting soon. Typically Greg and Kendra fly out to Philadelphia, the location of Lincoln’s home office, for a week of meetings, continuing education, networking, and a little fun. Unfortunately, like many events in the age of COVID, the conference was moved to a virtual format this year.
While the virtual format cut down on much of the networking (and fun) there were still many opportunities for continuing education. Over the course of 3 days, numerous sessions were held, including:
- Ed Forst, President, and CEO of Lincoln Investment: sharing progress on 2021 initiatives and a preview of what’s to come in 2022
- Brian Graff, CEO of American Retirement Association: presenting an update on the top financial concerns of Americans
- Shashi Mehrotra and Steve Mayhew, Senior Vice Presidents at Lincoln Investment: discussing current market risks and opportunities
- Dr. Sarah Newcomb, Ph.D., Director of Behavior Science at Morningstar: speaking on behavioral finance
- Carla Harris, Vice Chairman at Morgan Stanley: sharing her “pearls” of intentional leadership
- *Dr, David Kelly, Chief Global Strategist, J.P. Morgan: sharing insight into the current investment environment
- Ray Shivers, Chief Operations Officer at Lincoln Investment: introducing new technology at Lincoln aimed at providing better service for clients
In addition, dozens of breakout sessions, including advanced Roth IRA planning strategies, multigenerational income planning, tax planning, Social Security, Medicare, Long-Term Care, tactical investing, and market insights were held.
In the coming months, we’ll be sharing some of the takeaways from the conference. We truly appreciate the access to high-quality presenters and the opportunity to advance our learning provided by the forum. Fingers crossed that next year will take place in person!
